Spring Swap and Easter Greetings

I joined a Spring Tidings Swap hosted by Amy of Bumble Bee Lane  This is the first time I join a swap with primitive crafting.  It was quite interesting since I love color and many prim crafts are neutral colors.  Nevertheless, it was fun and I loved working with my swap partner, Marsha from Tattered Chick.  You need to check out her blog and see what I made for her.  I would post those pictures but forgot to take photos!  She loves antiquing and flea markets and vintage things.  Something my husband and I like to do on an occasional weekend.  We like to take in and appreciate things of days gone by.

Meanwhile, here are the treasures that Marsha sent me

I absolutely love this rabbit on the wooden spool.  Fits perfect on the top shelf of my pot belly cabinet.
Love the bird's nest with the eggs.  Funny - I sent her one too!  Great minds think alike!
This is precious.  It is a little bird nesting on a spoon.
And besides these I also received some homemade soap and a pair of crows.  Once again thank you Marsha - loved everything you sent me.  And thank you Amy for hosting the swap.

Here's wishing everyone a very blessed Easter Sunday.  May you all have a fun and safe time with your families.

Sweet hugs,

Is it Spring yet?

It sure doesn't feel like spring.  Woke up this morning to 34 degree temperatures here in south Texas.  Brrrr - at least the sun is shining!

So what have I've been up to?  Just finished these little spring time raggedy dolls.  They each come with their very own rabbits.  The "pretty in pink" is MaryBeth and her undergarments match her ruffle.

Then we have Ms Kelli lovely in purple.  Her undergarments match her bow.

Kelli is sold!  Thank you!

MaryBeth and Kelli are now available in my Etsy shop.

Awake, thou wintry earth -
Fling off thy sadness!
Fair vernal flowers, laugh forth
Your ancient gladness!

Thank you for stopping by and may Spring be upon you very soon!

warm hugs,

Hello Dolly....

Here are a couple of dolls that were finished this past Sunday and Monday.  I added them to my Etsy shop before posting on my blog.  Lilly, the one with the teddy bear, is sold and is on her way to the United Kingdom where she will make her home.

My little red hair is still available.  She is only nine inches tall and is a pattern by Sweet Meadows Farms.

I'm thinking of sewing some traditional raggedy dolls.  You know the ones with buttons for eyes.  Maybe do a complete round head.  Still thinking - what do you all think?

At last....

finished my wool wall hanging.  It's a very simple pattern and I should of had it done, at the most, in two days....but things just get in the way sometimes.  Like working on dolls, cleaning house, dolls, running errands, dolls - you get the picture right!

This is the "king" rooster - love him with his white poka dots.

.  Next we have a couple of hens and a blue birdie on the very top.  I really liked this pattern - so very whimsical.
.Tada!...here it hangs above my pride and joy - the pot belly cabinet in my kitchen.

I say - it's nice to make something for yourself once in a while.  Thanks for stopping by and until next time I'll have some new dolls to post.  Take care.

Warm hugs,
